'Woe to Me!' I cried. I am ruined (cut off)! For I am a man of unclean lips, & My eyes have seen the KING, the LORD Almighty (Commander YAHWEH).' Then I heard the Voice of the LORD (Authoritative ONE) saying, Whom shall I send? And who will go for US? And I said, Here am I (Behold Me). Send Me! HE said, Go & tell this people, 'Be ever hearing, but never understanding; be ever seeing, but never perceiving.' Make the heart of this people calloused. According to some sources, God was just telling Isaiah to comment: "You always hear, but never understand, etc." I.e., he wasn't ordering his prophet, "Make them that way." Then I said, For how long, LORD (Authoritative ONE)? Until the cities be ruined & without inhabitant, until the LORD (YAHWEH) has sent everyone far away. Near prophecy And though a 10th remains in the land, it will again be laid waste. But as the terebinth & oak leave stumps when they are cut down, so the holy seed (stock; stem) will be the stump in the land. EOP Later we see this 10th, the stump, leaving & multiplying, & just a remnant returning. <2> When men tell you to consult mediums (those with powers of ventriloquism) & spiritualists, who whisper & mutter, should not a people inquire of their GOD (Majestic ONE)? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living? <3> Distant prophecy Nevertheless, there will be no more gloom for those who were in distress. Texted in green is what is quoted in Matt 4:15-16 (see Min'tryBegins C.5.): In the past HE humbled the land of Zebulun & the land of Naphtali-- part of the kingdom of Israel, the people of which were replaced by Assyrians, etc., but in the future HE will honor Galilee of the Gentiles, by the way of the sea, along the Jordan-- The people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death (darkness) a light has dawned. YOU have enlarged the nation & increased their joy they rejoice before YOU as people rejoice at the harvest, as men rejoice when dividing the plunder. EOP <4> Woe to the Assyrian, the rod of MY Anger, in whose hand is the club of MY Wrath! I send him against a godless (unfaithful) nation [Israel], I dispatch him against a people who anger ME. But this is not what he intends. He [the Assyrian] says, 'As my hand seized the kingdoms of the idols, kingdoms whose images excelled those of Jerusalem & Samaria-- shall I not deal with Jerusalem & her images as I dealt with Samaria & her idols.' Far Distant prophecy

 In that day the remnant (shear-jashub-- descendants of the stump) of Israel, the survivors of the house of Jacob, will no longer rely on him who struck Them down, but will truly rely on the LORD (YAHWEH), the Holy (Set Apart) ONE of Israel. A remnant will return, a remnant of Jacob will return to the Mighty GOD (ONE); only a remnant will return. <5> Still Far Distant prophecy  In that day You will say, I will praise YOU, O LORD (YAHWEH). Although YOU were angry with Me, YOUR Anger has turned away. The LORD (YAH), the LORD (X), is My strength & song; HE has become My eternal salvation. EOP <6> Oh, the raging (noise) of many nations-- although the peoples roar like the roar of surging waters, when HE rebukes them they flee far away, driven before the wind like chaff on the hills, like tumbleweed (thistledown) before a gale. In the evening, sudden terror! Before the morning, they are gone! <7> Far Distant prophecy See, the LORD (YAHWEH) is going to lay waste the entire earth & devastate it; HE will ruin (pervert-- see Eze 21:26-27) its face & scatter its inhabitants. The earth dries up & withers, the world languishes & withers, the exalted of the earth languish. The earth is defiled by its people. Therefore earth's inhabitants are burned up, and very few are left. The new wine dries up & the vine withers-- this is after the night Jesus spoke of; not just when no one alone can work, but when there is no work; Jesus said in John 15:1,4, I am the vine; remain in ME; in Matt 9:17, Mark 2:22 & Luke 5:37-39, Jesus spoke of the new wine; all the merrymakers groan. The gaiety of the tambourines is stilled, the noise of the revelers has stopped, the joyful harp is silent. Therefore now in the east (valleys) give glory to the LORD (YAHWEH); exalt the Name of the LORD, the GOD (YAHWEH, the Majestic ONE) of Israel, in the islands of the sea. Sure 'nough, From the ends of the earth we hear singing: 'Glory to the Righteous ONE.' EOP <8> Near prophecy Priests & prophets stagger from beer & say, 'Who is HE trying to teach? For it is: Do & do, do & do, rule on rule, rule on rule, a little here, a little there.' Very well then; The Word of the LORD (YAHWEH) will become [be ordered]: Do & do, do & do, rule & rule, rule & rule; a little here, a little there-- so that They will go & fall backward, be injured & snared & captured. You boast, 'For We have made a lie Our refuge & falsehood Our hiding place.' EOP So this is what the Sovereign LORD (Authoritative YAHWEH) says Distant prophecy See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone (corner-- a new thing to navigate/accept) for a sure foundation; the one who trusts will never be dismayed. I will make justice the measuring line & righteousness the plumb line; hail will sweep away Your refuge, the lie. EOP <9> Back to the "present": For You this whole vision is nothing but prophetic words sealed in a scroll (letter). And if You give the scroll to someone who can read [truly has knowledge/ability to read], & say to him, 'Read this, please,' he will answer, 'I can't understand; it is sealed [makes no sense in the light of my massive knowledge].' Or if You give it to someone who truly cannot read, & say, 'Read this, please,' he will answer, 'I don't know how to read.' Ref. those who can read, but claim, "It is sealed": knowledge does not imply understanding. A variety of issues can preclude the normal connecting-of-the-dots. E.g., sponging in a mass of information & never processing it (the final step of which is rejecting the ludicrous); or the attitude/pretense of appearing ignorant for the appearance of humbly-not-knowing. But of course, some truly didn't have the knowledge of how to read. In either case, neither these learned nor the unlearned ones had an excuse-- for in c.575 B.C. it was declared, The Sovereign LORD (Authoritative YAHWEH) does nothing without revealing HIS Plan to HIS Servants the prophets (Amos 3:7)-- already written, c760-750 B.C. The LORD (Authoritative ONE) says: Again These people come near to ME with their mouth & honor ME with their lips [as before, their honoring of God was but a pretense], but their hearts are far from ME. Their worship of ME is made up only of rules taught by men (they worship ME in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men). Distant prophecy Therefore once more [???] I will astound these people. EOP 1st he had flabbergasted them via captivity, then he reached down to the Gentiles. But between these two, recall Jesus saying (referring to the short interval between his crucifixion & his ascension), The night comes when no man can work-- which was followed by the acts of the apostles & the missionary trips, etc. Another, later Far Distant prophecy would be of the end-time events prior to his 2nd coming.
