Psalm 93 Author anonymous:

  The LORD reigns, HE is Robed in majesty; the LORD is Robed in majesty & is Armed with strength. The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved-- see below, 1. Contrast #3.

  YOUR Throne was established long ago; YOU are from all of eternity. The seas have lifted up, O LORD, the seas have lifted up their voice; the seas have lifted up their pounding waves. Mightier than the thunder of the great waters, mightier than the breakers of the sea-- the LORD on High is mighty. YOUR Statutes stand firm; holiness adorns YOUR House for endless days, O LORD.

1. Contrast #3- Movable?

 A. Not Movable

  • Psa 15:5 says who lends His money without usery (interest) & does not accept a bribe against the innocent will never be shaken;
  • Psa 16:8 says I have set the LORD always before Me. Because HE is at My right hand, I will not be shaken;
  • Psa 21:7 says the king trusts in the LORD; through the unfailing love of the Most High He will not be shaken;
  • Psa 46:4-5 says There is a river whose streams make glad the City of GOD, the holy place where the Most High dwells. GOD is within her, she will not fall;
  • Psa 62:1-2 says My soul finds rest in GOD Alone; My salvation comes from HIM. HE Alone is My rock & My salvation; HE is My fortress, & I will never be shaken;
  • Psa 66:7-9 says HE rules forever by HIS Power, HIS Eyes watch the nations-- praise Our GOD, O peoples; HE has preserved Our lives & kept Our feet from slipping;
  • Psa 96:10 says Say among the nations, 'The LORD reigns.' The world is firmly established, it cannot be moved; HE will judge the peoples with equity;
  • Psa 112:5-6 says Good will come to Him who is generous & lends freely, who conducts His affairs with justice. Surely He will never be shaken; a righteous man will be remembered forever;
  • Psa 121:2-3 says My help comes from the LORD, the maker of Heaven & earth. He will not let Your foot slip-- HE who watches over You will not slumber.

 B. "Not Movable" (in addition to Psa 93:1 above)

  • Psa 10:4,6 says In his pride the wicked says to himself, 'Nothing will shake me'.

Psalm 94 Author anonymous; said to deal with doubts. Texted in grape is the passage (v. 11) that is quoted in the N.T. (see Psalms 12 - 18 Psalm 15 2. N.T. Quotes from Psalms B.):

  O LORD, the GOD Who avenges, shine forth. Rise up, O judge of the earth; pay back to the proud what they deserve. How long will the wicked, O LORD, how long will the wicked be jubilant? They pour out arrogant words; all the evildoers are full of boasting. They crush YOUR People, O LORD; they oppress YOUR Inheritance. They slay the widow & the alien; they murder the fatherless. They say, 'The LORD does not see; the GOD of Jacob pays no heed.'

  Take heed, you senseless ones among the people; you fools, when will you become wise? Does HE who implanted the ear not hear? Does HE who formed the eye not see? Does HE who disciplines nations not punish? Does HE who teaches man lack knowledge? The LORD knows the thoughts of a wise man; HE knows they are futile-- 1stCor 3:19-20; 4:1 says, For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in GOD'S Sight. As it is written, 'The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.' The thoughts are futile because the wisdom is foolish-- which wisdom exists only in time & has nothing to do with eternity. So then men ought to regard Us as servants of Christ & as those entrusted with the secret things of GOD. Some live their lives as though eating cake (which may/may not have icing-- point is, it's eventually gone. No, it's not futile to at least know how to add 2 & 2, or how to use knowledge wisely. At best wisdom is passed on to future generations, how a person might relate & function, eating their cake in these eras. The secret things of GOD? How to both eat the cake & retain it for eternity.

  Blessed is the man YOU discipline, O LORD, the man YOU teach from YOUR Law; YOU grant Him relief from the days of trouble, till a pit is dug for the wicked. For the LORD will not reject HIS People; HE will never forsake HIS Inheritance. Judgement will again be founded on righteousness, & all the upright in heart will follow it. Who will rise up for Me against the wicked? Who will take a stand for Me against evildoers? Unless the LORD had given Me help, I would have soon dwelt in the silence of death.

  When I said, 'My foot is slipping,' YOUR Love, O LORD, supported Me, YOUR Consolation brought joy to My soul. Can a corrupt throne be allied with YOU-- 1 that brings on misery by its decrees? They band together against the righteous & condemn the innocent to death. But the LORD has become My fortress, & My GOD in whom I take refuge. HE will repay them for their wickedness; the LORD Our GOD will destroy them.

1. Remaining #3

  • Jesus remaining John 12:34-36,39-43 Jesus having just explained that he would die: The crowd spoke up, We have heard from the law that the Christ will remain forever, so how can You say, the Son of man must be lifted up? Jesus was lifted up to remain forever in heaven. You are going to have the light just a while longer. Walk while You have the light with you, before darkness overtakes You. The man who walks in the dark does not know where he is going. Today only Christians have the light available. Put Your trust in the light while You have it, so that You may become sons of light. When He had finished speaking to them, Jesus left & hid himself from Them. A quote from Isaiah, what God had told Isaiah to say to this people (paraphrase of Isa 6:10): 'HE has blinded Their eyes & deadened (calloused, per Isaiah) Their hearts, so They can neither see with Their eyes, nor understand with Their hearts, & turn-- & I would heal Them.' Isaiah said this because He saw Jesus' glory & spoke about Him. Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in Him. But because of the Pharisees They would not confess Their faith for fear that They would be put out of the synagogue; for They loved praise from men more than praise from GOD.
  • Jesus not remaining John 17:9-12 Following is a portion of Jesus' prayer for His disciples-- which is after He prayed for himself & before He prayed for us: I am not praying for the general inhabitants of the world, but for Those YOU have given Me, for They are YOURS. All I have is YOURS, & all YOU have is mine. And glory has come to Me through Them (and glory comes to us as we make disciples-- particularly if they remain faithful). I will remain in the world no longer, but They are still in the world, & I am coming to YOU. Holy FATHER, protect Them by the power of that title of YOUR Name-- the Name YOU gave Me, the Son of GOD-- so that They may be One as We are now ONE & will still be ONE. While I was with Them, I protected Them & kept Them safe by that Name YOU gave Me.
  • Jesus remaining Acts 3:21-23 HE must remain in Heaven until the time comes for GOD to restore everything, as HE promised long ago through HIS Holy Prophets. For Moses said (Deu 18:15,18-19), 'The LORD Your GOD will raise up for You a prophet like (much more than) Me from among Your own people; You must listen to everything He tells You. Anyone who does not listen to Him will be completely cut off from among His people-- not merely disciplined.
  • No debt– except Roma 13:8-10 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love 1 another, for He who loves His fellowman [neighbor] has fulfilled the law. But let’s not forget how that Jesus said we should transcend the law, when he instructed us to Love Your enemies– see Psalms 36 - 41 Psalm 38 1. Transition #1 Love-boundary (s.a. Psalms 84 - 85 Psalm 84 3. Transition #2 The pure vs. the impure Written Code. The commandments, ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not murder,’ Do not steal,’ Do not covet,’ etc.-- see Exo 20:13-15,17; Deu 5:17-19,21 are summed up in this 1 rule: ‘Love Your neighbor as yourself (Lev 19:18).’ Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore this degree of love is the fulfillment of the law.
  • These 3-- the greatest 1stCor 13:13; 14:1-4 And now these 3 qualities/endeavors remain: faith, hope & love. But the greatest of these is love. Follow the way of love & (about the gifts of the Holy Spirit) eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy. For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men (humans) but to GOD. But everyone who prophecies speaks (should speak) to men for their strengthening, encouragement & comfort. He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.
  • Veil-- unveiled faces, increasing glory 2ndCor 3:12-18 Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold. We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over His face to keep the Israelites from gazing at it while the radiance was fading away (until the radiance had faded-- the radiance with which his face shown while talking with God face-to-face as mentioned in Psalms 42 - 50 Psalm 42-- s.a. Exo:34:29-35). But via said veil Their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read-- said dullness is automatically stripped away upon receiving Christ. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away. Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers Their hearts. But when anyone turns to the LORD the veil is taken away. Now the LORD is the Spirit-- they are ONE like as the FATHER & the Son were ONE, & where the Spirit of the LORD is, there is freedom. And We, who with unveiled faces all reflect the LORD'S Glory, are being transformed into HIS Likeness with ever increasing glory, which repeat, come from the LORD, who is the Spirit.
