Note that the Greek is referred to occasionally.

Throughout the O.T. & Gospels all words highlighted:

  • in medium blue were said by GOD the FATHER;
  • in apricot were from GOD the Son (Jesus Christ);
  • in light purple were from GOD the Holy Spirit.
That remains the case, but now we have the believer's spoken words highlighted in orange.

Also you will see words scripted in blue; this also is a carry-over from the O.T.-- throughout this work all words scripted in blue are words either in prayer or addressing the Godhead.

And all enlarged words are prophecies from the O.T.

  • The symbol {CoolXIV #.} after a word/phrase means that word/phrase is given in Greek on page XIV (Phlm)-- scroll down (if necessary) to that #;
  • the symbol Surprised means the Greek is the same as for the same word recently covered;
  • the symbol Frown means the word does not exist in Greek.

Paul writing

Salutation (at the beginning each of the books written by Paul): in green is the reminder that Paul was specifically called to be an apostle & set apart by the Will of GOD for ministry; in grey are those called/chosen to be saints according to the Will of GOD: Paul, a prisoner{CoolXIV 5.} of Christ & Timothy our brother, To Philemon our dear{CoolXIV 2.} friend & fellow worker{CoolXIV 25.}, to Apphia Our sister{CoolXIV 2.}, to Archippus Our fellow soldier{CoolXIV 26.} & to the church{CoolXIV 9.} that meets in Your home. Grace to You & peace from GOD Our FATHER & the LORD Jesus Christ .

I always thank My GOD as I remember{CoolXIV 17.} You in My prayers, because I hear about Your faith in the LORD Jesus & Your love for all the saints{CoolXIV 3.}. I pray that You might be active{CoolXIV 11.} in sharing{CoolXIV 15.} Your faith, so that You will have a full understanding{CoolXIV 12.} of every good thing{CoolXIV 1.} We have in Christ. Your love has given Me encouragement{CoolXIV 19.}, because You, brother, have refreshed the hearts{CoolXIV 23.} of the saints{CoolXIV 3.}. Therefore, although in Christ I could be bold{CoolXIV 20.} & order You what You ought to do, yet I appeal{CoolXIV 18.} to You on the basis of love. I then, as Paul-- an old man{CoolXIV 21.} & now also a prisoner{CoolXIV 5.} of Christ Jesus --I appeal{CoolXIV 18.} to You for My son Onesimus, who became My son while I was in chains{CoolXIV 6.}. Formerly He was useless{CoolXIV 4.} to You, but now He has become useful{CoolXIV 14.} both to You & to Me.

I am sending Him-- who is My very heart{CoolXIV 23.} --back to You; welcome{CoolXIV 22.} Him. I would have liked to keep Him with Me so that He could take Your place in helping{CoolXIV 7.} Me while I am in chains{CoolXIV 6.} for the Gospel{CoolXIV 13.}. But I did not want to do anything without Your consent, so that any favor{CoolXIV 1.} You do will be spontaneous & not forced. Perhaps the reason He was separated{CoolXIV 27.} from You for a little while was that You might have Him back for good-- no longer as a slave{CoolXIV 8.}, but better than a slaveSurprised, as a dear{CoolXIV 2.} brother. He is very dearFrown to Me but even dearerFrown to You, both as a man & as a brother in the LORD. So if You consider Me a partner{CoolXIV 16.}, welcome{CoolXIV 22.} Him as You would welcomeFrown Me. If He has done anything wrong or owes You anything, charge it to Me{CoolXIV 10.}. I, Paul, am writing this with My own hand. I will pay it back-- not to mention that You owe Me Your very self. Once before, in Gala 6:11, Paul insinuated that he had a scribe-- though there the salutation does not indicate that. Nevertheless, that does seem to have been the case, as he said he was writing then in large letters, with My own hand. Here, though Paul is said to have written the letter, he does indicate that Timothy might have been the scribe-- later wishing to accent that I will pay it back. Don't miss the point that Paul called Onesimus My son (v. 10), My very heart (v. 12), no longer a slave!  I do wish, brother, that I may have some benefit from You in the LORD; refresh My heart{CoolXIV 23.} in Christ. Confident of Your obedience, I write to You, knowing that You will do even more than I ask. And 1 thing more: Prepare a guest room for Me, because I hope to be restored to You in answer to Your prayers. Note that in Homepage N.T. books after the Gospels pt. Written by Paul it is pointed out that Philemon was written during Paul's 1st imprisonment (A.D. 60-62). Epaphras, My fellow prisoner{CoolXIV 24.} in Christ Jesus, sends You greetings. And so do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas & Luke, My fellow workers{CoolXIV 25.}. The Grace of the LORD Jesus Christ be with Your spirit.
