Preface, Views-of-the-Bible
Throughout this work: occasionally the type is in italics-- indicating it is either a heading, commentary from me or [bracked interpretation from me]; usually the type is in normal type-- indicating it is either the title of a Page, lifted directly from scripture or (parenthesized interpretation from scholars). However, the remainder of this page is all in normal print (rather than in italics)-- to avoid confusion in the descriptions below.

Preface
A. SCRIPT TYPES & COLORS, HIGHLIGHTED AREAS, CAPITALIZATION, & UNDERLINING-- not nearly as complicated as it appears:
1. Normal (Non-italicized) Boldface & Plain Words-- all colors: black, red, blue, peach, grape, or green. Those texted as:
- Regular-sized boldface black, red, blue, & peach words are from the primary scripture reference & have been lifted directly from scripture (always the NIV unless otherwise noted);
- Regular-sized plain black, red, blue, & peach words are from secondary scripture references (the specific location in scripture where they can be found may/may not be given); they also have been lifted directly from scripture-- however, if they are in (parentheses), they are the footnotes of scholars;
- Enlarged grape & green words indicate quotes:
- grape words in the psalms indicate those passage(s) are quoted somewhere in the New Testament (N.T.);
- green words elsewhere in the Old Testament (O.T.) indicate quotes in the N.T.;
- grape words anywhere in the N.T. cross references indicate quotes from the psalms;
- green words anywhere in the N.T. cross references indicate quotes from some place in the O.T. other then the psalms;
- Black words are spoken/written by humans & are not directed to the Godhead (Father, Son & Holy Spirit)-- e.g., In the beginning GOD created the heavens & the earth;
- Red words are pronouns (e.g., Me & YOU} & possessive pronons (e.g., Mine & YOURS for the various types of the Godhead Trinity (FATHER, SON/Son, HOLY SPIRIT/Holy Spirit). If they are entirely capitalized, that Godhead is "up-there" (HE/IT has not descended or has since ascended); if they are 1st-letter-only capitalized, He/It is incarnate;
- Blue words are prayer/thoughts/words directed to God-- e.g., David prayed, O LORD, My GOD;
- GREEN words (entirely capitalized, located in PART II only) are special words-- e.g., SEER & ANOINTING, etc. (as opposed to simple seer & anointing-- more obvious in PART II).
2. Italicized Boldface & Plain Words-- all colors
- Italicized letters, numbers or words (red, brown, or pink) indicate where 1 might find material related to the topic. The tabs (pages), located down the left side of each page, are in red script; the major sections are in brown script; the minor sections are in pink script;
- Italicized words (black or blue) are commentary-- no attempt has been made to distinguish between commentary from me vs. commentary by others (or my memory thereof). Sometimes the commentary is in [brackets]-- appearing thus: [commentary]. It is done this way occasionally for the convenience of the reader, in order to preserve the flow of the sentence.
3. Highlighted Areas
- Throughout the website, all major/minor titles are highlighted in yellow, & are italicized;
- Also throughout, Godhead "up there" words are highlighted in blue (in the O.T. the Godhead "up there" is the Trinity (Father, Son & Holy Spirit; in the Gospel the Godhead "up there" is the Father & the Holy Spirit; in the rest of the N.T. the Godhead "up there" is the Father & the Son-- e.g., in the O.T. the Trinity said, Let there be light. Keep in mind that no attempt has been made to distinguish what is specified in Scripture as words having been directly said by God, & those said by God but having come indirectly through the visions & dreams of the prophets-- as in Isaiah & Jeremiah;
- In the gospels of the N.T.(throughout the incarnation, as Jesus lived on earth, was crucified & arose-- before his ascension), Jesus' words to humans are highlighted in apricot-- e.g., Jesus said, I am the way, the truth & the life; no one comes to the FATHER except through Me.
- In the rest of the N.T. (after Jesus' ascension), the Holy Spirit's words are highlighted in purple-- e.g., the Holy Spirit said, Set apart for Me Barnabas & Saul;
- There are prophecies throughout the O.T.; in this work you will find them specified in grey-- the era each applies to is defined thusly:
- Near prophecy-- those that would take place before Jesus' birth (before His 1st coming);
- Distant prophecy-- those that would take place during Jesus' life (incl. during the crucifixion & before His ascension);
- Far Distant prophecy-- those that would take place after the ascension, but before or during Jesus' 2nd coming (the end of time as we know it).
- Note that this work dictates a sudden shift from Distant prophecy time period to the Far Distant period, similar to Near time period of the latter part of the O.T. shift to the N.T.-- but it might be more accurate to say that the Distant period extended to Pentecost (or that the time of the Gentiles overlaps the year of the Favor of the LORD). See PSALM 27 Isa & PSALM 65 Isa<1>; s.a. PSALM 107 PatternSeafarers regarding the sheet being let down 3x to earth by its 4 corners (in a vision to Peter, a Jew); 1stCor 10:32 (written by Paul, also a Jew) says, Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the Church of GOD;
- There are also what's called Double(Dual)/Triple prophesies/truths. That apply to 2 or 3 eras-- examples: a Triple Truth is in PSALM 2 2ndSa<1> (end); a Triple Prophecy is in PSALM 47 Zec<3>.
PSALM 1, PSALM 2, etc. contain the Psalms, with selected cross references (the cross references are limited in number, due to space restrictions);
- In many of the psalms the term Selah appears; Selah has been identified as a "huge exclamation point"; a better description-- my pastor calls it a signal for a pause. I call it a "Selah moment" for the benefit of the reader/listener as receiver. This idea needs to be elaborated farther, as often in the psalms it appear in the midst of a prayer. Now God as the receiver cannot benefit by a pause in a prayer-- right? After all, does HE have need to analyze/understand Our concerns? Not the omniscient God I know! So why Selah moments in our prayers? For our benefit; in the midst of our prayers we pause to listen to him, via the Holy Spirit-- e.g., as he brings-to-mind other scriptures). But then HE the receiver does benefit after all-- provided we listen/accept, He then knows we are on the same wavelength. Now, getting back to the writer/speaker when there is no prayer-- as said, the reader/listener benefits as receiver (he/she has the opportunity to digest what's been said). But actually the writer/reader benefits also, if we do get on the same wavelength. You will find Selah identified this way in the psalms-- SELAH.
